Studio Policies

To keep everything as smooth and easy as possible, there are a few policies and procedures for The Mani Stylist. Every client is asked to read these before booking an appointment to ensure we are on the same page. These Policies are in place to keep everyone safe and aware of responsibilities. By booking an appointment with The Mani Stylist you confirm you have read all terms and conditions to the business and agreed to my policies.

Appointment Deposit:

As this is strictly by appointment only studio, it is required to pay a deposit to book your session. This deposit is 50% of your appointment when booking online. This amount will be deducted on the day of your appointment leaving you to only pay the remaining 50% on the day. This deposit is non-refundable with less than 48 hours notice of cancellation and non-transferable.

Confirmation:

Once you have made the appointment you will receive an email from the booking system (square) This will also have the Studio address which I ask you not to share as this is a private salon studio.

Arrival:

Please arrive for your appointment no more than 5 mins. You will see a side gate where you are able to enter and find your way to the studio. More detail will be in the confirmation email.

If you are running late, please notify me ASAP. If you are 10 minutes late, your service may have to be modified to accommodate my schedule, but the appointment cost will still be the same. If you are more than 15 minutes late or if you do not attend your appointment (no show) your appointment will be cancelled, and you will be required to pay the total cost of your service, less the deposit. unfortunately, no further appointments will be booked until this cost has been paid.

Cancellations and Appointment Changes

Things come up for both you and I, which I understand. All appointment cancellations and change requests must be advised with at least 48 hours' notice. If you cancel your appointment within 48 hours of your appointment, your non-refundable and non-transferable deposit will be forfeited, this is due to not being able to fill that spot at short notice.

Where an appointment is cancelled with more than 48 hours notice, the deposit will be held as a credit on your account and can be used to book future appointments.

I ask that you reach out as soon as possible if something does come up.


There may be times I “the business” needs to reschedule or cancel an appointment, I will offer alternative appointments, and the deposit is transferrable towards a new appointment. If you choose not to reschedule the appointment or an alternative time is not suitable, the deposit can be held as a credit on your account or I will refund you if you decide not to rebook. This is the ONLY situation

Payment and Refunds

We currently take payment through Square/stripe In-salon and online card payments. Refunds of any kind are not offered on any completed services. (unless stated by law)

You will have a full consultation and throughout the appointment, you will be asked if you are happy with your service - please let me know during your appointment exactly what you are after. Better yet, bring photos in for inspo. But please understand each nail professional has their own style and doesn’t like to “copy” designs exactly. also if you can please also highlight the original artist of the images you bring in.

Guarantee

At the Mani Stylist, I back my work. I want you to be 100% confident in your nails and my work so I offer a 3 days guarantee on my nails.

If your nails have any breaks or lifting occurs within 3 days of your appointment, I will repair it for free at my next available appointment. YOU MUST GET IN CONTACT WITH ME AS SOON AS YOU NOTICE IT AND SEND IMAGES to take up this guarantee. In my experience, this is very rarely needed but the fact I have it I want you to feel safe in my studio and proud of your nails.

How to get this offer IF you need it.

* This offer is for fair wear and tear of your newly applied nails.

Contact me as soon as you spot a big problem. If it is past 3 days, I will not be able to offer it for free, as nails are expected to have some wear and tear over the time of the next treatment.

I will offer you the next available appointments for the week. Not going past 7 days since your treatment.

If you are unable to attend those times you, forfeit the free repair and will have them repaired for you at the next refill appointment.

Any repair after that period will be charged a $30 appointment fee.

what is NOT covered, If you get your hand stuck or hit by something which snaps your nail in half. this is classified as trauma to the nail.

Past Nail Product

To ensure the best outcome for the quality of my work I prefer NOT to refill over other techs work. If you are a new client please come to your appointment with bare nails. If you have acrylics on from a chain nail salon there will be an extra service needed to drill down the acrylic. This is time-consuming and very difficult on my hand and tools. The service must be booked and charged $30 on top of any service. book “refresh set”

Guests and Children

All appointments are one on one, and no additional guests are allowed. Children over 2 are NOT recommend to attend the studio,new born and children under 1 are an exception. My salon is located on private premises and is unsuitable for small children who can move around as I work with chemicals and sharp objects. If you attend your appointment with an additional guest or child, your appointment may be cancelled and your deposit will be forfeited.

Pets

Please bear in mind that I have a Cavoodle her name is Duchess, she can access the studio when clients are not present but all care is taken to maintain the studio cleanliness at all times. Please let me know if you have any allergies or phobias. I will always put her away for every new appointment.

Contraindications (injury to your nails and fingers)

At times your nails may have a concern which does not fit with having a service preformed by myself. If your nails have any issues or fungal infection, or you have a fresh wound around your fingers, we will not be able to complete your service. Please contact me if this applies to you before booking your appointment.

I will not proceed with any treatment if there is any visible issues that I feel you aren’t able to have nails put on safely. You will still be charged for your treatment if you book and then it is found you do have infections or damage.

Liability

The Mani Stylist will take care to follow all professional advice and health and safety protocols. The Mani Stylist and all companies related to kidnerbeauty pty ltd are not responsible for any allergic or adverse reactions to products and the methods used.

We are not held responsible for any accidents that occur in our studio.

Termination

I reserve the right to terminate or cancel the appointment for any reason, before or during the appointment.

I may terminate or suspend access to my service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.
